Rapenburg

On Rapenburg, a new building will be constructed on Nieuwe Foeliestraat. Supermarket SPAR will be located on the first floor so that local residents can do their daily shopping here. The four floors above will house 24 new rental apartments. The building will be on the corner of Rapenburg and Foeliedwarsstraat.

To restore the original streetscape and historical profile of Rapenburg at this location, the façade will be slightly further forward, about the same as the adjacent fire station. The building thus forms a renewed headpiece of the blocks on Rapenburg and Foeliedwarsstraat. In addition, it is designed as a sound barrier against the traffic pressure of the IJ tunnel.

Rapenburg 91 is also part of the plans. This building will be completely renovated and the original facade restored. There will be four apartments here.
